I have been in the wine trade for nearly 20 years, starting out after University in the accounts department of the peerless (and sadly now defunct) Richards Walford in rural Lincolnshire, quickly working my way through my WSET qualifications through diploma level and moving from accounts to marketing to sales to buying.
After stints as Buyer and Senior Buyer at Averys in Bristol and Cru World Wine in my twenties, I had covered a wide range of buying, from blending entry level own labels to tasting from barrel at some of the world's most prestigious wineries. My specialist areas throughout my career were Rhone, Languedoc Roussillon and Italy and these still hold special places in my heart today!
After starting a family and taking a step back from the wine trade to run a neighbourhood cafe for a few years, the call of the grape was just too strong, and I've taken my career-long passion of seeking out the off-the-beaten track bargains and turned it into our family business
I spent the majority of my career until the pandemic in IT recruitment. Whilst on furlough during lockdown and spending so much more time with our young children we decided to make a change and start a business we could do together as a family, that fit around us.

My wife's love of wine over the years has been infectious and I find the wines I used to drink will no longer cut it! I love spending my days delivering wine to our fantastic independent customers, catching up and seeing what's going on in the local trade.
I've always had a passion for craft beer and we're so lucky to have such incredible breweries here in Bristol - this plus a love of great pizza has given me a natural affinity with our more casual dining type customers - pubs, pizza joints etc.
When not out and about in Bristol delivering wine or chatting to customers I love a round of golf or a game of pool - which we can now play in our new office, come and see us!
I have over 20 years experience in the wine industry predominantly in the French Alps. I rebranded a traditional French business and created a modern wine shop and wine bar catering for local customers and international tourists.

In 2022 I volunteered during harvest and was present during the first stages of fermentation at Chateau Vieux Mougnac an organic estate close to Lussac St. Emilion. It was a great opportunity to understand the cycle of grape to wine.
I moved back to the UK in 2016 and am very happy to live in the vibrant city of Bristol.
Since returning, I have run an independent seafood/winebar on the Gloucester Road and before joining Spiegel and Peach spent an enjoyable year at Woodchester Valley Vineyard near Stroud learning about the English wine industry.
I love travel, music and film and when not tasting wine you will find me on the green baize at the Snooker club.
